·      Researcher for papers detailing the life of Zoraster, the heroic code of the Axial peoples, and Post Modernist literature in relation to the Holocaust.

Experience

 




January 2007 – Present Private Tutor

I have tutored students in English Literature, specialising in dystopian and post modernist literature. I have taught from GCSE to A Level standard. My achievements are;

·       Communicating complex ideas in a straight forward, easily digested fashion.
·       Teaching uses of grammar, sentence structure and essay technique to optimum effect.
·       Preparing lessons and setting reading plans in advance. 
·       Helping 3 students from GCSE Level English Literature through to full A-Level qualification.

March 2008 – November 2008 Researcher for Fiction and the Art of Ruin

I interned as a researcher for my Lecturer on his paper Fiction and the Art of Ruin: The art of Gunter Grass, Picasso and T.S.Elliot. Voices of Dissolution. This paper is to by published next year.  My achievements were:

·        This internship involved extensive reading into the history of the first world war. I was not only expected to understand the causes of the war, but collate suitable lines of research for the writer.
·       My research focused upon how masculinity was constructed pre and post  the first world war.


October 2008  - February 2009   Work experience for The Swansea Life magazine.          
                                
I wrote several articles for The Swansea Life that ranged from personal thought columns, interviews with local celebrities such as Joe Calzaghe and Spencer Davis. I also wrote articles of local interest such as restaurant reviews. My achievements were:

·       Writing and editing four articles, up to 1,500 words, of my own work to a publishable level.
·       Conducting face to face, and over the phone interviews.
·       Completing a basic style and grammar test outlined in a procedural handbook.

                                
October 2008  - February 2009   Master of Arts Media Writing       
                                
I have achieved a Masters degree at Swansea University. My main area of study was focused upon art after the Holocaust.  My achievements were:

·       Writing and editing work to be published by local newspaper or independent publishers.
·       Editing and evaluating Undergraduate work.
·      Corresponding between charity organizations and the University to produce pamphlets, educating people about their causes
·      Mentored two Undergraduates through their first year of University life.

  October 2008  - February 2010  Content Writer for  The New Mexico Line       
                                
After my education I decided to travel as much as I could. I found myself writing for a small scale publication focussing on famous battles throughout history:

·       I wrote three 700 word articles detailing Zoraster re-imagining of his culture's warrior code, and the early campaigns of the Zhou people. 
·       Editing the layout of my articles. 
·       Gathering accurate reference artwork
